El Parque Nacional Morrocoy is an ocean lover's hidden natural wonderland, located between the towns of Tucacas and Chichiriviche, in the northwestern side of Venezuela within Estado Falcón, approximately 3 hrs away from Caracas. The Morrocoy National Park was created in 1974 to protect the extensive mangrove channels; home to many marine birds, and the entire ecosystems found on its 30 coralline islands and cays; all surrounded by pristine emerald waters, which gives it a real paradisiacal, feel and look.
